Backgammon server

A computer network on the internet, established by a company or private people, which hosts backgammon games. After connecting to the network by logging in, players can compete in matches or backgammon tournaments against real opponents from all around the world. The server rolls the dice, keeps scores and ratings and communicates chats. The server provides the interface through downloadable software or a web application. Most servers today use vivid 3D graphics which mimics the visual and sound of a live backgammon game. Some servers have money play application, in addition to the more common free backgammon games.
